It is important to know that the weather at Reserva Quetzal is highly variable.

Our network of trails winds through trees covered in epiphytes (orchids, bromeliads, mosses, and lichens), passing through ravines and ridges and providing access to viewpoints. You can explore on your own or join a guided hike to learn about the ecosystem.

The trails run among the native trees of the forest.

At an average altitude between 1,700 and 2,200 meters, the reserve is home to an incredible variety of birds: hummingbirds, colorful tanagers, toucanets, trogons, barbets, quetzals, Andean guans, motmots, parrots, and many mixed flocks of oropendolas that move through the forest every day.

We offer a rare Lek, the breeding grounds of the iconic Gallito de la Peña on our property.

Explore the Forest

We offer a complete tour that takes you through every stage of our Alambi specialty coffee, from its origin all the way to the final cup. You will walk through the plantation to understand how each plant is cultivated and cared for, as well as the essential post-harvest stages: bean selection, pulping, fermentation, drying, and hulling, experiencing firsthand the work that transforms the coffee cherry into coffee.

The experience includes a guided tasting in our Laboratory, where we explore different preparations, aromas, and flavor profiles, as well as the opportunity to take home our Alambi coffee, either as whole beans or ground.
